The Forster Wild Cat Regatta

The 2012 Forster Wildcat regatta at the Great Lakes Sailing Club was held over the long weekend and in perfect conditions.

What a sunset
After 3 years of rain over the weekend we finally had had sunny conditions and weather gods looking nicely at us with perfect wind. Three days of racing on the Wallis Lake waters was the perfect start to the sailing season with the racing being run for the first time by young PRO Kingsley Purch (who i'm sure would rather be out there racing with us) I have to say he did a great job with a perfect course every time, even if the breeze swung 270 degrees on him, great job mate.

It was truly a great start to the season and the old Forster I remember as a kid coming here each year. I think I have been doing this for over 15 years now. Next year it will be the first time I come back with a kid of my own to help bring the next lot of youth though exciting times ahead.

Below are some photos from the regatta and the A Class results so did not get the rest.

Now next stop for me is San Francisco and the next ACWS event and my long awaited ride on an AC45 more on that next week.
